An eye witness said, the gunmen blocked the gate with their car as soon as the VC’s convoy arrived.
“They
jumped out and started shooting into the air and six others appeared
from nowhere and attacked the convoy. They shot and deflated the four
tyres of the police van escorting the VC.” the witness said.
